My DVD collection has no room for Shrooms
David from Dublin, 22 May 2008
When watching this I wondered if anyone involved in the production knew anything about Ireland. So many problems I had with this film including
-the casting of a British actor as the Irish guide despite the fact it was filmed in Ireland and we have no shortage of talent
-Sean McGinley and Don Wycherly in embarassing roles(despite being the film's best talent)
-the school english class essay style ending
-the undeveloped state Ireland appears to be in(the airport/shed for example)

Appaling rubbish

It is amazing how far director Paddy Breathnach star has fallen since the high point of I Went Down, he is now reduced to this type of low budget slasher movie, it reminded me a bit of the equally appaling Blair Witch Project throw in the teens being stalked element from Friday the 13th a few in-bred locals, tack on a very obvious twist (which you would have to be an imbecile not to see coming) and you have Shrooms. The only redeeming factor is that it is mercifully short at about 80 minutes

propaghanda garbage

It's no surprise to see an Irish film condeming the use of mushrooms to be produced the same time they were illegalised. Paddy Breathnach sells his soul and the Irish for a slice of that American dollar that has so far eluded him, and it turns around and bites him in the ass. Do not watch this film. I beg you. Watch something far more productive like pornography.
shrooms
Jason from Galway, 27 Feb 2009
Absolute rubbish. I think the main reason this bugged me is because i'm irish. the high point of this movie for me was when a yank was tripping on shrooms walkin through the forest, and ends up talkin to a cow... seriously that was the best bit... i'm sure others will find it spooky or whatnot... but really didn't do much...

only alright. Filmed in a trippy way, which wasn't bad. Should have cast an irish actor as the main lead, his accent was terrible. story itself was ok i suppose but the main characters were very dislikeable , was glad they were being killed. It's saving grace was that it was very short.
