Loopy

This film is fast, furious and sometimes very funny. Very much in the familiar BBC comedy style of lots of foul mouthed and baroque language flung at you at all angles. It is certainly the most accurate and pointed movie made yet about how Britain got stuck in the morass of Iraq (even though Iraq is never actually mentioned). Sometimes its a little too smart for its own good, and the shaky camerawork is a bit annoying (especially on blu-ray, where you get more detail than you really need).

In the gloop.

I like my political satire to be satirical of politics. I like to watch a comedy that makes me feel comedic, in a broader sense of the word. I like to feel thaty I am a part of this hilarious universe depicted on screen, and that somewhere, sometime, people like these people said something similar to this and nobody laughed, while the secretary and delivery boy in the background squealed "HOLY SHIT THIS IS SO FUNNY WHY IS NOBODY NOTICNG OMG FFFJSEJFLSJDFLKSDJFLKJSDF".
In the loop rocks.

More Intelligent than funny

A quite intelligent comedy, a mix of West Wing and The Office on steroids, this is an almost perfect satire of a media build-up to war (inspired by the Iraq case). The first half is a bit too forceful, almost surreal in excessive jokes, but the second half gets it right. I can see some of the lines becoming popular, such as "sweating off my spinal fluid" and such. More intelligent than funny, this is a definite watch.
Politics and humour don't mix...

I know this is getting rave reviews, but I thought it was pointless and not funny. The comedy seems to spin mainly from portraying all the Scots like they were Begbie from Trainspotting. Too stupid to be a clever political comedy I'm afraid. Disappointing.
Great Great Great

If you're a fan of 'have i got news' or any satirical show you'll love this. The writing is clever, and the acting great. One warning though. You need to listen to this film so do not watch it while trying to read the paper.
