Better than I thought it would be but not great. I think it would have been better if the cast was not so "Hollywood" as I think it would have engaged you more with a indie feel to it and when you have such heavy weight "Stars" in it your expectations become too high for such a well worn plot line even thought it had a little twist, because of the “big star” focus it fell short of my expectations. it's a B-movie with A-list actors (You think...well, they just did that for the money cos the scr

Enjoyable, watchable but a copycat...

I enjoyed watching this film. I thought all of the characters were brilliantly played by Jackman, McGregor and Williams but what utterly left me feeling disappointed and a little cheated was that 'Deception' was more or less the same storyline as a film I've already seen (the name eludes me at present) starring Clive Owen and Jennifer Aniston. Obviously, some things were different but I felt it was a little too close to the other one.
Watchable all the same, though.

Good but pradictable.

A bored accountant (McGregor) is untroduced to a life of sex by a mysterious colleague (Jackman) only to find shock/horror that he's been set up.
A slickly done thriller that although not bad, is pretty formulaic, this type of film has been done lots of times before and so I couldn't really care about the character's or the ending.
