I didn't know what to expect from this film. I'm not really into boxing, or the recession in the States during the 1930's... but wow what a great story! and a true one at that.
Believable acting from Crowe and Zellweger, and a real feeling of suspense and drama as the film moved quickly through the life of the Cinderella Man James Braddock. I felt like Googling before the end of the film to see how it would end! (I didn't though!)

Inspiring

Amazing true life story of a has been boxer who gets another shot. If you've read the book you'll enjoy it all the more but even without it you'll love this film. There's more to the film than the boxing scenes, its a great insight into depression era america and the bravery and integrity of the people despite their hardships. Giamatti is great and crowe plays braddock very well.
Cinderella Man

This was a great movie one of the best I have seen in a while. My husband loved it too. It was a human interest story and there was great drama and fighting (for the men).
I didn't know the story (true story) so you could imagine it all ending badly. Triumphant story in a terrible time in US history (the Great Depression)
This is a movie I would buy and watch again!
Brillant!!!

Really brillant...really enjoyed this movie...gave good insight to the recession in the US and boxing and its based on a true story...Russell Crowe and Renee were really really brillant in it...I give it 9 out of 10 because although it is well worth a watch there was something missing from it...still well worth a watch though

This is a wonderful film. I took to points off cos there was just to much boxing ( I know, I know its about a boxer) but I would liked to have seen more of the story of his life. That said it reall is a good film. Well wort getting out. Nuala
